31.05.03 14:00   President of Russia Vladimir Putin thanked Prime Minister of Hungary Peter Medgyessy for presenting him with a collection of Hungarian wines.

After the Hungarian leader gave a speech at the Russia-EU summit, the head of the Russian government noted that Prime Minister Medgyessy involuntarily brought up one of the traditions of the renovated Constantine Palace: “Fill the palace’s cellar with Hungarian wine!” It is a bit early to say how Vladimir Putin’s joke was accepted during the summit, but afterwards the leaders of the European Union may taste the gift.
