31.05.03 15:30   Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, together with other national leaders attending the Russia-EU summit, officially opened the Amber Chamber at the Catherine Palace Museum-Reserve at Tsarskoye Selo.

The national leaders and the First Ladies, who are taking part in St. Petersburg’s tercentenary celebrations, walked up the red-carpeted Monigetti Staircase. Vladimir Putin and Gerhard Schroeder led the way into the Amber Chamber with the First Ladies.
The opening of the Amber Chamber is one of the key events of the celebrations dedicated to the city’s anniversary.
