31.05.03 21:00   Russian President Vladimir Putin and the First Lady, as well as foreign heads of states attending St. Petersburg’s tercentenary celebrations, set off for Peterhof from Palace Embankment on board several pleasure cruisers.

A ceremonial dinner in honor of the North Palmyra’s anniversary awaited the leaders at Peterhof. A water and musical presentation, “The Fairies of Peterhof’s Fountains,” is being held as part of the following events during the dinner. Scenes from the ballets “Swan Lake,” “Chopiniana” and “Pahita” are being performed on three stages at the Great Cascade, amongst the other fountains.
The troupe of the Opera Theater and Ballet of the St. Petersburg Conservatory is participating in the event, while the Golden Ballet directed by Viktor Kramer is performing during the interludes.
The evening will conclude in the Monplaisir Pavilion. To commemorate their visit to the “Capital of Fountains,” photo-albums about the history of Peterhof have been prepared for the high-ranking guests.
