According to him, Pulkovo will handle arrivals and departures "only of special flights with official delegations on board, and also support flights by agreement with Russia's Foreign Ministry." In this connection the GSGA asked airlines "not to plan regular or charter flights" to Pulkovo airport during this time. To guarantee arrivals and departures of other participants and guests ahead of and after the festive events, Russian and foreign airlines are allowed "to make an additional required number of air flights" by agreement with the Pulkovo airport administration. "The special air traffic regulations have been put in place to prevent the airport from being overloaded and accord with international practices," Neradko emphasised. |
